To give financial aid and support exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes.
To render financial assistance to non profit organizations that can show need of assistance and meet all the criteria required by the foundation. In addition, scholarships are available to needy students.
MEMBERS The members of a non-profit foundation are similar to shareholders of a corporation except they do not have ownership interest or any right to financial gain ie dividends or interest. They meet once a year on the fourth Wednesday in April to select a governing board of trustees. They also elect the audit firm and ratify all the acts of the officers and trustees.
Trustees The primary function of the board of trustees is to set the course for the foundation and elect the officers to carry out the operations. The board of trustees meet on an as needed basis, at least annually and the number of trustees can vary but cannot exceed seven.
Chairman of the Board - Conducts the meetings of the members and trustees.
Foundations Manager - Performs the day to day operations of the foundation under the guidelines set forth by the board of trustees and chairman.
Secretary - Responsible for keeping and recording the minutes of all the meetings.
