Arthur clearly intended that the sole beneficiaries of contributions from his foundation were to be qualified students in need of financial assistance and organizations that are operated exclusively for Religious, Charitable, Scientific, Literary, or Educational purposes or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals.

The same generous principles have governed the decisions of the Board of Trustees through all charges in its menbership.
